//These times change us. Malleable feelings summon us when relationships get sideswiped by the unknown; we must remain dependent only on the triple braided cord.
God changes us even when our circumstances remain static.
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12
His hope is an anchor for my soul. We tread in deep waters nearly taken over by the strong undercurrent of financial instability. I hear it can make or break you. I don’t want to be defined by how much money can be brought to the table.
I don’t want to be defined by how easily the current took us; I want to be defined by how we learned to build a raft together – float home, if ever slowly.
The current does not change because we are caught in it. We change because we must endure despite it.
Are you caught in a current so strong you, it’s taking you under? I’m here to help you paddle, friend. Depend on the triple braided cord. And where two or more gather… you know the rest.
In times of difficulty, pull.//
I’m participating in 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes hosted by my friend, Christina Hubbard at Creative and Free. Although I am writing each day, I’m only posting the Monday sessions. I didn’t want to bombard your inbox with 31 free writes. You already have to deal with me on Fridays! 😉
The word prompt today is ONLY. The forward slashes indicated where I started and stopped for this session. And Go!
