Day 28: Finding Hope in Unmet Expectations – Connect

I’ve made incredible connections because of writing. I want to celebrate that today. There are many more writers I’ve come to meet, love, and break bread with. I either don’t have the photo space here or don’t have photos of them at all.

At the library with my writing tribe.

I’d like to honor everyone who has spun me onto a path of mature writing. I’m leaving out so many more people. Thank you to all of you, as well. You know who you are, friend.

Viktoria has been an incredible friend as I navigate my spiritual life, writing journey, and personal trek through life. I’m so grateful to poetry for her.

This is my Five Minute Friday writing community. It is composed of a group of women (and some men) who lift each other up and pray hope into one another. I’m so grateful to have met them.

Today, I had the pleasure of connecting with a fellow Redbud Writer. We had lunch and chatted about life. She’s a joy!

Not too long ago, I had the privilege of reading with these incredible poets at No Ban, No Wall: Women Writers Unite. If there was a room full of lightning, this was it.

I’m grateful each day for this writing journey. It has spun me onto a path I didn’t know I would ever navigate. There are so many more photos I could post. These are recent and ones that have aligned me with people I feel so honored to know.

I urge you to pull away from the chaos and connect yourself with other peacemakers who spur you in a positive direction and speak hope into your creativity.

Friend, this is Day 28 of a series of posts for the month of October. I’m joining Kate Motaung over at Five Minute Friday for the yearly Write 31 Days challenge. My topic is “Finding Hope in Unmet Expectations” because that’s what my book is about as well. Each day has a different word prompt. I hope you enjoy.

Today’s word prompt is CONNECT.
